It's a New School Year and New Opportunities Are Everywhere!

Welcome back to a new year and a fresh start! Congratulations to all Spartans who were recognized at a Night of Spectacular Spartans on Sept. 3, 2009! What a great way to start the new school year!

The intent of this blog is to provide students and parents/guardians with a wealth of information of opportunities of all sorts - exchange programs, post-secondary information, career information, scholarships, career fairs, trips to post-secondary institutes, etc. I look forward to communicating with parents and guardians (of students from FLS and KCI!) this year and encourage you to email me at gtulloch@mail.gssd.ca. Home and school are important links. I especially look forward to communicating with parents/guardians of Grade 12 students. Grade 12 is an exciting year, but can be stressful for both parents and students. Please feel free to communicate by phoning the school or emailing me at the above address. I read emails everyday.

I look forward to communicating with you. Let's have a great year!

Parents, are you looking for a good book about transitioning from high school to university?

If you are looking for some reading material for students entering university, or for university students at any level, you might want to check this site out:
www.universitymatters.ca
The site describes the book "University Matters" and has some downloadable resources you might want to explore!
