Garfield Weston Award for Students Attending Technical Schools

If you are heading off to a technical school/college in the fall and are active in your community or school..............this is your scholarship!
There are 25 awards available in Canada - valued at over $50,000 each, including a tuition waver, an $8,000 annual stipend and summer opportunities.

The award is open to graduating high school students who will begin full time studies, pursuing a diploma or applied degree!

National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation - Scholarships and Bursaries

The NAAF, working in partnership with Aboriginal, private and public sector stakeholders, is promoting and celebrating the achievement of Aboriginal peoples.

There is a huge variety of scholarships and awards in specific areas of study including:
fine arts, business, science, law, engineering, technical studies, computer science, education, social work, social sciences, graphic arts, pyschology, health sciences, oil and gas trades and technology, trades, and many more.

SCN Courses for High School Students

Distance Ed Courses via offered SCN include French 10, French 30, Math A30 and Creative Writing 20. Courses began for the first semester. The courses are being offered by Horizon School Division. (Viscount School)

KCI will be able to offer SCN courses in the near future.

Distance education offers credits for high school students in three forms currently:
1. Print Form - YHRS!
2. Online courses - from a variety of school divisons
3. And............SCN!

Distance education provides more opportunities for our rural students.
